Fushifaru Part II

Discover, Explore and Reflect

If you’ve been following us for some time you will have seen that we have been to Fushifaru before, in fact it was where we got engaged last year during our first trip to the Maldives. There’s just something about this little, but perfectly formed, island that was calling us back. Home to such wonderful staff, a perfectly placed infinity pool and the dreamiest outdoor bathrooms, we couldn’t resist heading back for part 2.

As the island continues to offer new and exciting activities year on year, we were delighted to experience two new options for breakfast, an in-villa floating breakfast and a lagoon breakfast.

Exploring the island itself, on land it has become much greener and plush and as the ocean continues to recover from the horrendous coral bleaching that happened throughout the Maldives a few years ago, the reefs were flourishing with an abundance of fish.

During our time on the island the previous year we hadn’t got to experience the Raakani Grill. This year we made sure we were able to enjoy all the culinary experiences the island offers. The Raakani restaurant is a fusion of Mediterranean and Italian dishes. I had the truffle tagliatelle which was unbelievable - a definite recommendation.

As we reflected on our time at Fushifaru we are so grateful to have been able to enjoy such a wonderful island for two years running. The additions to the island have only improved and increased the desirability of traveling here.
