Staying on Falhumaafushi in one of their over-water sunset villas was just sublime. Close to the house reef and with your own private pool, these villas are designed for comfort and luxury and boy, are they that! With a roll top bath overlooking the ocean, dolphins that regularly pass by within eye shot and a resident turtle swimming by every morning, this place is something you only dream of.

With two islands to enjoy during your time, there are plenty of unique dining experiences and a myriad of activities to enjoy. You must try The Falhumaa restaurant at least once. An over water dining experience where you dine whilst watching the abundant marine life by moonlight.

The resort is also home to two castaway islands, one of which you can schedule a castaway picnic on. Here you can wind away the hours with just a handful of others, enjoying a tailor-made picnic and snorkelling in the clearest waters you have ever seen. Another must-do activity the resort offers is a sunset dolphin cruise. The resorts location is close to many of the southern Maldivian dolphin channels the chance of seeing them are extremely high. We were fortunate to be joined by dozens of dolphins on the evening we headed out, which just topped off another perfect day in paradise.

We had the most indulgent time at The Residence Maldives. Being able to explore two islands and two castaway islands is a dream come true, there is more than enough on these island to keep you entertained for weeks let alone leave you wanting more.
