Park Hyatt
Modern Maldives
A modern yet character-filled resort, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa seems to have perfected the balance of peaceful tranquility and luxurious touches from the main areas to your private villa.
An expansive central pool leads onto the beach and an insanely blue ocean. The beach is perfectly situated to enjoy sundowners at their very own beach club, complete with bean bags and shisha to unwind on and soak up the last of the rays.
The water in the south of the Maldives is notorious for its unbelievable marine life. During our time here we went out on a guided snorkel with the diving centre staff. We were blown away by the amount of fish and sea life that we found here, it was more than we had come across elsewhere in the Maldives. An experience to treasure for sure.
One of the most tranquil places on the island is the Vidhun Spa. Immersed in the islands overgrowth, this hidden retreat offers both the privacy and serenity needed to fully unwind. Using the islands own herbal and botanical products in most of their treatments only adds to the personalised indulgence. Each spa villa is home to a single or duel-bed treatment room, an outdoor decking and bathtub for those who want further post-treatment relaxation.
With both beach and over-water villas the island has expanded and developed the villas since opening. We were located in a grand beach villa with pool. It was bright and airy with an outdoor bathroom, infinity pool and access to you own private slice of beach. Heaven.
Keen to keep the island as it was when they first found it and consciously trying to make the island plastic-free we are proud to have been able to stay on an island that is actively trying to make not only their island but the Maldives a better, cleaner, more sustainable place for the future. We sure hope to be back here in the future.
