The Langdale Hotel - Luxury in the Lake District

From the minute you turn into the Langdale Estate you immediately feel welcome, a waterside home from home. Offering a mix of self-catering cabins and luxury hotel rooms with both family leisure facilities and an exclusively adults spa, it really is the perfect accompaniment to spending your days out exploring the Lakes. 

Set between Grasmere and Ambleside the location is ideal for hiking and exploring the quaint and famously picturesque villages.

During our two night stay we indulged in dinner at the highly recommended Stove restaurant. I opted for the fish and River the steak but my favourite was the charred corn starter. There was also a great selection for kids. Not surprisingly it is a very popular restaurant, we’ll too be recommending it and wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

The grounds in which the hotel is set are simply stunning. Just a casual meander around the Langdale Estate itself and you won’t wander far before you come across a water mill and a duck pond, much to Mila’s delight.

Sadly 2 nights passed by in the blink of an eye but we weren’t leaving the Lakes just yet. We headed to a nearby hotel, the Victoria House hotel in the heart of Grasmere.
