Sun, Sea and Snorkeling

Located in the southern most tip of Koh Tao, Sai Daeng resort has been created with the intention of keeping nature completely untouched which screamed out to us when we were invited to stay. Each luxury villa is surround by lush foliage and natures own wildlife, conveniently offering privacy and tranquility. 

The resort’s private beach is home to some of the islands most coral-rich waters and with views extending across the famous shark island, this resort really does rival the worlds best. Offering complimentary snorkel equipment and kayaks, we didn’t need much more persuading to paddle the 15 minutes across to the island for a closer look. If you’re lucky you might spot the notorious black tip sharks that inhabit these waters. Sai Daeng harbours not one but two beaches, adjacent to Sai Daeng is Hin Ngim Bay accessible via stairs. This too is a renowned snorkeling spot on the island.

A simple beachfront restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a beautifully curated spa complete the resort. An expansive infinity pool and swim up bar sits above the bay. Daily happy hour here is the perfect accompaniment to the sensational sunsets you are privy to whilst on Koh Tao. 

An incredible island to explore first and foremost only made even more enjoyable by staying in this world class resort. For the ultimate luxury getaway, be sure to book into the Eagles Nest with private pool, it might be a short hike to reach every day but boy is this room worth it.
